easter at lawtons and ledfords

Today we had a wonderful day with lots and lots of family! Early this morning we had a big breakfast and had some family and friends over to eat. I had prepared most of it last night so that most everything was just stuck in the oven this morning. We took turns reading Easter Bible passages and ate lots of food! After church we went to lunch with Casey's mom's side of the family, and after that we went to his dad's side. Casey has 36 first cousins, most of whom are married and have the their own kids, so you can imagine what big and exciting get-togethers these are! The great part is that everyone lives so close together! It's amazing to be a part of a family that is all right here and sees each other so often. Literally, we drove 3 miles to the first get-together, and the other is less than a mile from our house. And these people are not only close geographically... they really enjoy each other! And as far as we know they are all believers, which makes Easter such a joyful time, since we are all celebrating the same thing... what Jesus has done!

Here are some pictures of our happy day today... although the first few are from yesterday. We went to an Easter egg hunt yesterday.

Maggie and Caleb each got some very exciting Easter baskets at breakfast.

We all went to Casey's grandma's house for the Ledford get-together....

Maggie is so beautiful! I can't believe how much she looks like you, Julie . . . and like Mom at that age. Caleb is so handsome! I can't wait to see him at Rob's graduation.
